This test has shown me that I favour the visual and social learning styles. As a teacher it is important to take advantage of your strengths, so from the results of this test, creating learning experiences that include colours, images, pictures and maps will cater to my prefered learning style.
As I also have a strong social learning style, I find it very easy to communicate with people of all ages. This is crucial as a teacher as it allows you to not only talk to your students but their parents and grandparents aswell. I find it easy to visualise the best way to explain things to students in a way that they will understand.
To cater for a classroom full of students that have a range of different learning styles, it is important to first build a rapport with each of the students while gaining the knowledge of each of their prefered learning styles. By providing your class with a variety of lessons that use each of the different learning styles, as a teacher you are ensuring that each of your class members are able to effectively understand the content of your lessons.
